Obituary

SCHOENBECK, RUTH CAROL. Ruth passed away on Feb. 20, 2010 at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Louise Schoenbeck and two brothers, William and Robert. Ruth was born on July 30, 1941, and grew up in Forest Park. In 1963, she graduated from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) where she was a member and officer of Phi Mu sorority and also worked on The Daily Illini student newspaper. Her work in the publishing industry led her to a job at IBM in the San Francisco area, where she graduated from law school and became a member of the California Bar Association. A celebration of Ruth's life is being planned and will be held in Chicago in April. Special thanks to Jeff, Ana, and Judy for their special care.
