Nancy Cornelson Textor
Age 53, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, after a three year battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband Nick Textor, her father Bill Cornelson of Austin, Texas, her sister Janet Cole (Gary) of Austin, Texas, her brother Rob Cornelson (Laura) of Austin Texas, her niece Lillian Cole of Austin Texas, and her nephews, Nick and Jack Engle of St. Louis, and Will Cornelson of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Susie Engle (Mike) of St Louis, and Maria Textor of Cuba, MO. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Ruth Cornelson.
Nancy was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and raised in Tyler and Houston. She graduated from Robert E Lee High School – Houston in 1974, and attended Texas State University and the University of Houston graduating with a B.A. in 1978. Her career began in the insurance brokerage business where she worked for over 20 years with the Marsh Companies (formerly Sedgwick Brokerage) in client service roles leaving as a vice president in 2000. Making a career change in 2001, she began work for the CCIM Institute (affiliate of the National Association of Realtors) as a marketing director and other senior level responsibilities.
Visitation will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Ave, Chicago, on Thursday, June 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jun 19, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Luke, 1500 W. Belmont, Chicago,with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Ste 7000, El Segundo, CA 990245. www.pancan.org

Services in Austin TX will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jun 27, at the Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park, 6300 W. William Cannon, Austin, TX.
