Ethel was involved in church and hospital activities, as well as many organizations, such as The Drama League, Illinois Opera Guild, American Opera Society, Chicago Woman's Club, Chicago Arden Shore Association, Chicago Outdoor Art League, and the Kiwanis Club of Lake View. An Alumna of Alpha Xi Delta (Kappa Chapter-Univ. of Ill) and received the Order of the Rose in 1987 and Order of the Pearl in 1997. Preceded in death by her brother, parents, and husband.
