Obituary

Edward Francis Lenton born in Liverpool England on 11-18-1926, passed away on Friday August 31st at Seasons Hospice in Chicago at age 80.
Eddie was a chef and traveled to many places practicing his culinary skills, but felt most at home in Chicago, where he enjoyed horse racing and all of the professional Chicago sports teams. He was a reader, a writer and a poet at heart. Eddie spun many yarns and recited poetry in such a gentle manner that he enticed people to listen. He spent many hours studying and teaching himself several foreign languages.
Eddie's dear brother Jimmy (James) to whom he once wrote "The happiest days of my life were spent with you" preceded him in death 5 years ago.
Eddie will be missed by his close friend Joe McLevich of Chicago, and his loving family, sister in law, Phoebe Lenton, nephew Jimmy Lenton, and nieces Sharon Lenton Hall and Carol Lenton Gannon all of Michigan. Uncle Eddie is also survived by eight great nieces and nephews and five great great nieces and nephews.
