Obituary

Porfirio Victor Burgos, age 88, passed away on February 17, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He goes to join his wife of 43 years Librada Burgos. He leaves behind ten children, Wilson Burgos (Aida), Ada Burgos, Edwin Burgos (Lynette), Aida Gonzalez, Olga Rivas (Abraham), Anarosa Velez (Felipe), Nester Burgos, Manuel Burgos (Lucia), Gladys Ruiz (Pablo) & Maribel Burgos (Jose). He was a beloved Grandfather and Great Grandfather, to 27 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren. He spent his life providing for his family working multiple strenuous jobs; masonry, construction and fisherman to name a few. He was a devout, faithful, Christian man who enjoyed sharing the word of the Lord with whoever would listen. He loved listening to music and playing along with his Guiro.

Visitation to be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 4-9 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Avenue, Chicago IL 60657. Last Viewing at 9:45 AM followed by a funeral service at 10 AM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
