Obituary

Bob “Heavy” Levy, 69, of Chicago died May 13, 2017 at Evanston Hospital.

Bob "Heavy" Levy was a great father, caring husband, a brother, a son and a trusting friend to many people. He spent his life doing what we loved. Heavy worked long days at Gethsemane Garden center for over 30 years and was very proud of it. He was ambitious and a hard worker, depending on the season he had a pumpkin lot with a petting zoo and most famously Bob's Christmas Trees in Printers Row which many family and close friends worked at. When he wasn't working he loved his summers at his cabin in Wisconsin fishing, grilling, swimming and surrounded by his wife Claudia, his daughter Morgan and husband Adam, his son David and wife Amanda, The apple of his eye was his two grandchildren Madison and Max, children of Morgan and Adam. He loved them dearly and would do anything for his beloved grandchildren. He was truly an outstanding role model of a husband, a father, and a friend.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. with a service being held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Avenue in Chicago. Interment is private. Info – 773-472-6300 or www.LakeviewFuneralHome.com.
