Obituary

Mitsuru Hidaka, 87, of Chicago died Dec. 12, 2015. Beloved husband of Marietta Fujio Hidaka; adored father of Lisa Sloan, Debra Wilson and James (Heather) Hidaka; fond grandfather of Ashley and Brittany Wilson, Max Sloan and Taylor Fujisawa; loved brother of Minnie (Frank) Yoritomo and the lates Fred, Susumi and May; special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation from 3-5 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 19 at Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church, 4511 N. Hermitage Ave., Chicago, IL 60640. Private interment at Montrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church or the Japanese American Service Committee of Chicago (JASC).
