Obituary
SYDNEE MARY LYNN CONWAY DARCHUN, of Lincoln Park in Chicago, passed away on November 27, 2015 of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Sydnee was an International Flight Attendant for American Airlines for 39 years. She was a consummate volunteer, having devoted years as the Court Outreach Representative for Genesis House, an avid supporter of the Dignity Diner Homeless Feeding Program at Holy Covenant UMC, spent countless nights at the Lincoln Park Community Shelter, and teaching her dogs The Rainbow Therapy Program in order to visit nursing homes and child-care facilities. Always artistic, she became skilled in oils late in life. Her work was featured in a booklet mass produced by the National Institute of Health dealing with Alzheimer’s entitled, “What Happens Next”.
Beloved wife of Lino Darchun; proud mother of Matthew and Elizabeth; dear grandmother of August, Maggie, Johnny, and Molly; fond sister of Barbara, Emily, Nina, Christine, Russell, and Gregory; and adoring aunt to Melissa, Jonathan, Brian, Karen, Christopher, Jeremy, Ariel, Lauren, Samantha, Peter, Nicole, Gabriel, and Savanna.
