Obituary

John Hubert Muehlstein died at his home on August 30, 2013 at the age of 88. He was born on May 23, 1925 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. John served in the army during World War II as an infantryman, in both the European and Pacific theaters. He attended Northwestern University Medical School and went on to become a highly respected orthopedic surgeon. He practiced medicine in Dayton, Ohio for 28 years. He loved golf, fishing and traveling. John shared his life and travels with his beloved wife Else (nee Pedersen) for 63 years. Together they have four children: Krista (Brent Crossland), John (Mary), Karen (David Mason) and Lisa (Jim Beets), who will miss him more than he can ever know. He adored his 9 grandchildren- Jeremy, Matthew, Sean, Eric, Emily, Braxton, Brian, Jens and Kalmia.
A Memorial Service will be at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago,IL 60657 on Friday, September 27th at 10am.
