Beloved wife of the late Tomoharu.
Devoted mother of Roy Ketcher, Thomas (Ann) Hachiya and the late Barry Ketcher.
Loving grandmother of Justine (Rob) Briggs.
Dear aunt of Donna (David Knea) Hachiya
and cousin of Grace Ala.

I am Amy Peterson who lives in the Copper Country in Michigan. I am sending my condolences to Iona's family member on their loss. Iona will be missed by many and she impacted many in her time. She was a nice lady to me and my family. I will miss her dearly. Once again, Sorry for your loss.

Dear Ione's Family,
Today two of the new owners of Ione's house told us about Ione's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved mother and grandmother. Ione was a wonderful neighbor for decades - since we were shorter than the alley gate that opens on to her yard. Over the years Ione would share neighborhood news with our mother over the same alley gate especially when they both had sons attending the local grade school where Ione had served as President of the school's PTA. Our two families enjoy rhubarb patches in our backyards and Ione shared some of her rhubarb recipes with us. Ione also enjoyed growing and tending other vegetables in her garden.
Ione was an exceptional person and we feel blessed to have known her.
