Obituary

James Jiro Sumita, 91-years-old, died on June 30. He was a retired machinist/tool and die maker. James loved to garden and he would spend hours tending to his flowers and vegetables. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Miye Ito Sumita; his brothers Ben Sumita, Ken Sumita and his parents Ai and Kiyohei. He is survived by his children Karen and Kevin Madden, Alyce Sumita and Glenn Fukuma, Jim Sumita and Sheri Richardt; grandchildren: James and Jason Madden, Nathan and Nicole Sumita and sibling: John Sumita. Visitation and service will be Saturday, July 7, from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60657. Reception immediately following the service in the family/refreshment room in the lower level of Lakeview Funeral Home. Everyone please join us.
