Masayo Nishimura
73 years, died June 22nd, after a short illness. She was born in Spokane Washington on October 25, 1937. She and her family migrated to Chicago after WWII. A University of Illinois graduate, she was a longtime Chicago Public School Teacher before retiring a few years ago. Ms. Nishimura was one of few remaining survivors of the WWII Japanese Internment camps.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Sadayoshi and Tomiko Nishimura.
She is survived by her dearest sister Sadako Saunders, her brother in law Warner Saunders Sr. and loving nephew Warner Saunders Jr.
